coffee with lemon
If you like Lemon Tea, you might be interested in what i am going to tell you, that’s right you guessed it,
Ever wondered about how coffee will taste with a little lemon squeeze in it? well i tried it and i was surprised.
I was expecting bad results when i thought of trying it, but to my surprise it was tasty. Now i am used to having in more often, few times a week.
Here i am going to share the way i make it, well its not rocket science, still this could be useful for some one who wants to try it.
Sugar (only if you use)
Boiling water (ofc)
Its not much different than making a normal coffee, put instant coffee and Sugar in a cup , add hot water. Stir it well, now squeeze the lemon, or you can add a
slice in . i usually add a slice , its easier. Voila its ready 🙂
If you normally use milk in coffee, just be careful coz lemon can curdle the milk, but not as fast. i never tried it with milk. you can, and just let us know the results.

I have always thought Baking a cake is a hard job to do and need to be an expert to get good results. I have tried to bake cakes in the past, always ending in a failure, But things have changed now, i can say i am a pro now, at-least i am able to bake something which looks like a cake. Now i know to bake perfect a cake you will need the right recipe, that’s right with the right recipe you have made half of the cake already.
I will share my first recipe here,
Its the recipe for making Blue berry Lemon Coffee cake. I wasn’t gonna try it at first due to bad experiences in the past, baking cakes!! Well everything needs a start so, i did try it in the end.
Its was so easy and for being first time (success) it actually ended up being really good.All you need is a good recipe, and now I am going to give you just that!
Here is the recipe for it.
lemon coffee cake INGREDIENTS :
2 c AP flour
1 c sugar
3 t baking powder
1 t salt
1/3 c butter, softened
1 c milk
1 large egg
1 1/2 c fresh blueberries
Walnut Streusel (recipe below)

Beat flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, butter, milk and egg at low speed with an electric mixer for 30 seconds; increase speed and beat 2 minutes. Pour half of batter into a 9x13x2 pan lightly coated with vegetable cooking spray.
Sprinkle blueberries over batter in pan; top with remaining half of batter. Sprinkle Walnut Streusel over top.
Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes, Let cool.
Prepare glaze and drizzle over cooled cake.
Walnut Streusel (Recipe)
1/2 c chopped walnuts or pecans
1/3 c firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 c AP flour
2 T butter softened
1/2 t cinnamon
Combine all ingredients, stirring well.
1 c powdered sugar
2 T milk
1/4 t vanilla extract
Combine all ingredients, stirring until smooth.

For best results Don’t use frozen blueberries.
It should be enough for 12 Serves .
